There’s a beautiful truth that often gets overlooked in the busyness of our lives: self-care is self-love. It’s not selfish, indulgent, or unnecessary—it’s sacred. It’s the quiet, intentional way we tell ourselves, “I matter.”
We live in a world that celebrates doing and achieving, but what about being and feeling? The real journey begins when you pause long enough to pour back into yourself. When you make time to care for your body, soothe your mind, and feed your soul, you reconnect with who you truly are—your highest, most radiant self.
The time that I began to say no, give myself grace, and set boundaries is when I felt the shift and began to truly embrace love for myself.
When we think of love, we often picture how we treat others—with kindness, compassion, patience, and understanding. But when was the last time you offered yourself that same energy?
Self-care is self-love because it’s the daily expression of honoring your needs. It’s how you remind yourself that your well-being is a priority, not an afterthought. It’s choosing rest over burnout, nourishment over neglect, peace over chaos.
And when you love yourself in this way, you begin to shift everything around you. Your relationships, your boundaries, your energy—they all reflect that deeper sense of worth you’ve cultivated within.
I remember being very hard on myself and had to ask myself, Why? But when I started to remind myself that I was human, I started to be easy on myself and started to give myself more love and grace with all of my challenges and learning lessons.
Self-care looks different for everyone, and that’s the beauty of it. It’s deeply personal, evolving as you do. Sometimes it’s a bubble bath with candles. Other times, it’s saying “no” without guilt.
Here are a few gentle ways to practice self-care as self-love:
One of my favorite forms of self-care is to draw a full moon 🌕 bath by charging water under the full moon. I also use bath salts and scrubs to make it extra special. I put crystals alongside the tub and light a few candles to create a magical, manifesting vibe.
When you practice self care with intention, something powerful shifts inside you. You begin to radiate calm, confidence, and clarity. You stop seeking validation outside yourself because you’ve learned to give it to you first.
This is what The Manifest Life is all about—learning that your energy creates your reality. When you operate from love and balance, you attract more of that same energy into your world.
The universe mirrors your frequency, so when you embody love—especially toward yourself—you become magnetic. You manifest better health, aligned relationships, opportunities, and abundance.
Because the truth is, you attract what you believe you deserve. And when you live from the belief that self-care is self-love, you’re declaring that you are deserving of the very best, and the Universe responds to that.
To truly integrate self care into your life, consistency matters more than perfection. Start small and make it a daily ritual.
Try this simple practice:
The more you integrate these small, loving habits, the more natural self-care becomes. It stops feeling like another thing on your to-do list and starts feeling like a beautiful rhythm of life.
In the mornings, I love having my cortado (hubs fixes for me). Typically, hubby and I will have one on our way to work, but since being at home due to the furlough, I've been enjoying it while hanging by the fireplace. It's such a nice way to start the day.
If you’ve been running on empty or feeling disconnected, this is your sign to pause. Your worth isn’t measured by how much you do—it’s measured by how deeply you care for yourself.
Self-care isn’t about escaping your life; it’s about creating one that feels so aligned and supported that you no longer need to escape it.
So, light that candle, take that walk, drink that smoothie, or simply breathe. Do it not because you should, but because you deserve to.
Because self-care is self-love—and when you love yourself fully, everything around you begins to bloom. It's very magical.
You are your home. And the more you nurture your inner world, the more peaceful, vibrant, and grounded your outer world becomes.
So go ahead, give yourself permission to rest, to glow, to heal, to rise. You are worthy of the time it takes to care for yourself.
Because when you pour love into yourself first, you overflow naturally—and that’s the most beautiful energy you can give to the world.
When I started to see self-care as an act of love instead of a checklist, I stopped chasing balance and started feeling it. My health improved, my confidence grew, and my manifestations flowed more easily—because I was finally aligned with true self-love.
